Issue 3 failed this week but Mayor Treat says the city isnt giving up on getting a Costco type store out on the Parkway north of 30. Thats all them woods up there, used to be nothing but deer trails.

Would I shop there, probly yes. Id buy my pork butts and briskets in bulk lol. But the Parkway already backs up bad around 5 oclock and I dont see how a big store makes that better. Whay do yall think, want it or not

I'd honestly love something like that in Bryant... right now anything bulk means a drive into Little Rock and I always talk myself out of it. Brisket season alone would pay for the membership lol.

But yeah the Parkway at 5 is no joke... I get stuck by the I-30 ramps even on regular weeknights, and that's before you add a few thousand people on a Saturday. If it happens I hope they plan the turn lanes and signals first and not after the fact... that's usually how it goes.

Also kinda sad about the woods, but I guess that land was going to get built on one way or another. I'd rather see a Costco-type store than another empty strip center. Curious what the city would actually do about the road side of it...

Ha brisket season is right, a 12 lb packer for half what the grocery wants. Its the ramps that worry me too, thats where it all stacks up. They better fix the Parkway and 30 before the doors open not after, like you said. Mayor can keep tryin but Id like to see a traffic plan first

agree on the traffic plan first. saturdays with the ball tournaments the parkway is already a mess and thats w/o a costco 😬 id still go for the bulk stuff tho, our team snack runs alone would pay for the membership lol. Thanks!

Traffic plan first, I'm with you... Parkway at 5 is bad enough as it is. I'd still go for a few things in bulk, but I'd hate to lose all those trees for something that sits half empty. Just my two cents

Thats my worry too Joyce, hate to see the woods go for a big empty lot. Them Costcos in Little Rock stay packed tho, so I dont think it would sit empty. Just wish the city would tell us the plan for the road befor they start clearing trees
