Good evening, neighbors. I am in the market for a part-time job, evenings or weekends, and I would very much like it to be something other than retail. I have put in my time folding sweaters and hearing "is this on sale?" and I do not care to return to it.
I live out off Highway 5, so Bryant and Benton are both an easy drive. Warehouse, light industrial, food service, event setup, delivery, overnight desk work, I am open to most of it. The one thing I will protest is losing every single Saturday morning. Yard sale season is upon us, and a man has priorities. 🙂 Honestly, though, the classic car does not pay for itself, and a carburetor kit that costs more than my first truck did is a fairly persuasive reason to find extra income.
Two questions for the board:
1. Who is actually hiring right now? Not "we're always hiring" on a sign out front for eight months, but a place that returns your call.
2. What are people doing for seasonal work once fall arrives? I realize it is the end of May and nobody wants to talk about Christmas yet, but I would rather line something up early than scramble in November with everyone else.
If you have worked somewhere decent, or somewhere to avoid, I would be glad to hear both. Thank you in advance.
