ice storm last winter, how long were yall out

Was thinking about that ice storm the other day, 100 degrees out and I'm remembering limbs poppin all night like gunshots. We were out right at 3 days off Hwy 5. Fired up the smoker and did a pork butt so the freezer meat wouldnt go to waste, neighbors came by for plates so it worked out. Spent a whole weekend draggin limbs to the burn pile and my chainsaw chain was dull as a butter knife. New chain and extra gas can this time. Thinking bout a generator but man the prices. What are yall doing different this winter?
