Had to run out toward Bauxite early this morning and when I topped the hill and looked toward the Little Rock side, the fog was sitting down in all the low spots like somebody poured milk over everything. Sky behind it was orange going pink.. I actually pulled over for a minute, which I never do. Cold too, my truck said 36 when I left the house.
Ten minutes later I was back to real life and brake lights everywhere, but it was a nice start to the day.
Made me think about how many of us make that drive toward Little Rock every single morning for work. Half the parents I stand next to at the ball fields commute that way. I always say I wish we had more jobs closer to home so people could skip it, but days like today I get why folks don't mind the drive so much.
Was anyone else out that way this morning? And how's the commute been lately, any better or worse than a few months ago?
